NC State baseball third baseman Alec Makarewicz was named the ACC Player of the Week after helping lead the No. 14 Wolfpack to a 5-0 week at Doak Field at Dail Park.

Makarewicz batted .455 with a team-high 10 hits, four doubles, 13 RBI, 20 total bases and six extra-base hits. The transfer third baseman opened his week with a 3-for-4 performance with four RBI, three runs scored, a home run and a double as the Pack routed Queens 17-2.

Makarewicz then delivered three more multi-hit performances in the weekend sweep over Towson, capping off the weekend with a 3-for-5 day at the plate with three doubles, five RBI and a run scored. His final swing of the weekend was a run-rule, walk-off double to center field as the Pack completed the weekend sweep with a 14-4 win over the Tigers.

On the season, Makarewicz leads NC State with 24 RBI, 39 total bases, 19 hits and 10 extra-base hits. Makarewicz ranked second nationally this past week (Feb. 26 to March 3) with 13 RBI and tied for second with four doubles. He ranked tied for seventh nationally this past week with 10 hits.
