You will but he needs to learn some control at some point. I know he will eventually. He needs to stop trying to overthrow every pitch. If he could just control his fast ball. Drop it form say 96 to 93/94 he'd be better.

Glass that's good advice for him.


As an example, Hartle at Wake can throw harder. I have seen him pitch since he was 14. He is always around the plate and, even though is a young pitcher, his control is so good he can often get an ump to expand the strike zone. It's hard to get the fact through young men's heads that location is as important as speed. The radar gun and all the talk of how fast they can throw hurts both arms and their ability to REALLY pitch, not just throw.
