It has been the same **** for the past 10 seasons. I have followed this team since 2004 and I will freely admit I told the Wolfpack club in 2013 don't call me for baseball tickets until Avent is gone. This team needs new leaders. They are one of the worst fundamental teams in the ACC year in and year out. Avent is a great guy and been great for the program, but it is time for a change. The assistant coaches seem to pull a lot of the work for him but it might be a situation where we need a clean sweep.
No excuse for the continued errors and mental errors game after game when playing higher level competition.

I was listening to a discussion between two folks behind me at Saturdays game. i think one of the guys was a scout but not sure. Hell, he may have been one of you guys. But he said the scouting report on Green is that he can't hit a low ball on the outside third of the plate. Especially a slider.Alex Gee said:

Question for those that know more about arm health/safety than I do: How feasible is a scenario of Highfill closing game 1 of a doubleheader for 2 or 3 innings, and then starting game 2 for 2 or 3 innings?
I imagine that to be the only way we could see him pitch in both games.

Sam needs to start Game 1 of the DH, bring Matt out of the pen to hopefully close a W/start game 2. Hopefully EA understands why you do this.
If we fall behind early again the way we are pressing with RISP, we will effectively have already lost the series without our best arm throwing a single pitch.

Andrew just shared that BC has 4 cameras active for replay for this game… but no stream. Pretty stupid
It was mentioned by the TV broadcast crew on Friday that there were hard wired cameras in the stadium that could be used for replay reviews in addition to the TV cameras. Many teams have unmanned fixed cameras mounted at the dugouts. Maybe that's what they used.

Highfill in for the 7th.
I had forgotten in 2021 where we had an inverse of this situation. Highfill pitched 7 innings in game 1 against UNC. Willadsen closed, and then started game 3. Tallied 28 outs across two games.
