This is dumb. They've known the weather was coming all week, and this is the best ever could come up with? Playing games at multiple venues just seems to go against the spirit of the tournament.

Since they haven't shown any inclination to just skip the meaningless games in the pods that were already decided (which is what they should be doing anyway), I probably would've played an extra game each day Tuesday through Thursday starting earlier in the day. Then either play both semis early today followed by a championship game tonight or early tomorrow morning. It would really tax pitching, but so does the dumb format in the first place. Two games simultaneous at 1 tomorrow probably puts both games at risk of delays, but I'm not a weather man, nor am I in charge. Maybe it wouldn't work, maybe it wouldn't matter, I don't know, what they are doing just seems like a crappy solution to me.

Wake Forest beats ND in their meaningless game. Big for the Wolfpack that ND goes 0-2 in the tourney

The game was anything but meaningless to ND, who needed it badly for their tournament resume. Remember, the point of the ACC baseball tournament is not to crown a champion, but to get the most teams into the NCAA.

This represents a fundamental misunderstanding of the point of the tournament. They don't skip "meaningless" games because they might have plenty of meaning to a team's postseason hopes.

The fundamental flaw in your statement is that the selection committee has shown a complete disregards for the result of conference tournament games. . Regardless, if the only point of the tournament is to bolster team's resumes, then it would behoove the conference to do everything in their power to complete all of the games, which I don't believe they've done, which goes to the larger portion of my post that you completely ignored.

I didnt ignore it, I thought it wasn't feasible. Games are scheduled 4 hours apart, and even sometimes that isn't enough, as our game started 30 mins late Tuesday night. So they would play the first games starting at 7am in the morning?

I meant meaningless for Wake Forest. For ND (and NC State (and the ACC)) there were plenty of implications. But Wake could care less

8,12,4, and 8. Or start playing games simultaneously at two venues earlier in the week. We've plodded through pool play and are now trying to rush through the semis and finals, and that seems pretty backwards to me. But you're cool with it, so I see no point in engaging you further.

I think it's a little crazy to ask the players to play at 8 in the morning, when they have never had to play even before 11 all year. Remember, they are at the park about 2 hours before game time, so at the ballpark at 6. But you seem to think crazy ideas are completely feasible, so i see no point in engaging you further.

You should have heard the complaining from State fans about the game being pushed to 7:30 Tuesday "on a school night. " When the Hurricanes were starting at 8 last week, all I heard was how that is too late. Now we want to schedule games starting at 10pm? Man, that would have been fun to see and hear about!

Yup, I complained about it too, just like I do 9 o'clock weekday basketball games. I feel bad for those SEC fans having to endure that, but like they say, it just means more in the SEC. I'll let them know how crazy and unfeasible their tournament schedule is if we ever end up in that league.

With Miami's win over Wake Forest in the ACC baseball semifinals, the No. 1 seed has still not won the event since 2013 (North Carolina).

However, this will be the first time a top-4 seed wins since Pool Play began in 2017.

Clemson has won 15 straight games... 25-2 in their last 27 games.

I knew Bakich would be a great hire, but damn.. You'd think it would take him more than half a season.
