If only they could have more of these soft infield hits like Radford

Why does the staff use Nelson as the most trusted pen guy? Makes no sense during a time you would think we would test some young arms -- he has 4 appearances already in what is effectively the preseason.

His numbers show he is who he is and dont think much is changing:

2019: 7 ERA, .276 BAA in 25 appearances
2022: 8.50 ERA, .316 BAA against in 20 appearances. Absolutely shredded in ACC play.

Massive barrel there from the Radford 9-hole hitter with the bases loaded.

EDIT for score update: 6-1 Radford mid-4, Highfill comes in to get the final out quickly.

weird game for sure to get down 6-1. britton was a little wild in the first, same with baker when he came in (maybe not necessarily walk numbers but falling behind). I also feel like radford had 4-5 hits that just barely found holes while we hit 3-4 to the warning track. also, radford came in as a very poor defensive team but they played well there too.

the good is obviously the come back, always nice to have some adversity. highfill threw pretty well. lawson was great.

This is all spot on.

We hit missiles straight at guys early on and they were hitting balls with wet newspapers that just worked out. Their 3rd baseman made some outstanding plays too.

Agree. But for the rest of the season, if we are behind somewhat late in the game you must come post "Its just not our day". Those are the rules!
