The No. 21 NC State baseball team continues its eight-game homestand with a pair of midweek games. The Wolfpack hosts Longwood on Tuesday and Radford on Wednesday at Doak Field at Dail Park.
Both Tuesday and Wednesday's games will start at 3 p.m. and will be broadcasted live on ACC Network Extra. Free audio streams will be available on the Varsity Network App. Both games will also be available on the radio on WKNC 88.1 with Andrew Sanders on the call.
NC State is 6-0 all-time against Longwood and 15-2 against Radford. NC State went a combined 4-0 against the Lancers and Highlanders this past season, outscoring the pair of Virginia opponents by a combined score of 46-9.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST LONGWOOD & RADFORD
NC State holds a perfect 6-0 record against Longwood. In the most recent matchup against the Lancers, NC State earned a commanding 19-3 home victory on Feb. 23, 2022. The Pack's closest matchup against the Lancers came during a three-game series on May 2, 2015, when the Pack opened the weekend with a 3-2 win.
The Wolfpack swept Radford at Doak Field at Dail Park this past season, outscoring the Highlanders 27-6 during the three-game series. NC State is 15-2 all-time against Wednesday's opponent. Radford's most recent win in the series came during head coach Elliott Avent's first season in 1997 when the Highlanders earned a 7-6 victory in Raleigh.
LAST TIME ON THE DIAMOND
The Wolfpack earned another three-game sweep over the weekend to move to a perfect 7-0 on the season. NC State outscored Belmont 25-5 in the weekend sweep, allowing just one run over the final 19 innings of the series. With the wins, NC State remains one of just 12 teams in Division I with a perfect record. The Wolfpack has also opened the season 7-0 or better in back-to-back seasons and for the fourth time in the past five seasons.
POWER SURGE
NC State blasted 11 home runs over its four victories this past week, recording at least two homers in each win. Payton Green (three), Parker Nolan (two) and Will Marcy (two) each hit multiple home runs. Green and Nolan also had multi-home run performances against Belmont (Saturday) and Coastal Carolina (Wednesday), respectively. The Pack outscored its opponents 41-9 this past week and has outscored its opponents 67-12 so far this season.
NO FREE PASSES
For the second time this season, the NC State pitching staff did not allow a walk in Sunday's 7-1 victory over Belmont. Before the start of the 2023 season, the last time the Pack pitching staff posted zero walks as a staff was during a 10-3 win over Tennessee Tech on Feb. 22, 2020. Dominic Fritton and Justin Lawson combined for 10 strikeouts and no walks in Sunday's dominant pitching performance.
SCOUTING LONGWOOD & RADFORD
Longwood (2-6) enters its second season under head coach Chad Oxendine, earning a series victory over Delaware State this past weekend. The Lancers dropped their first five games of the season, including losses to ACC foes Virginia (26-2) and North Carolina (10-0). Redshirt junior Eliot Dix leads the Lancers with a .407 batting average.
Radford (2-5) enters its first season under head coach Alex Guerra, opening the season with a series victory over Iona. The Highlanders dropped all four of their games this past week, dropping a midweek matchup against North Carolina before getting swept by Wagner. Cameron Pittman leads the Highlanders with 14 total bases, three doubles and seven runs scored.
