I'll put it here since there doesn't seem to be a generic thread.

Queens had a pitcher, Daniel Bagwell, absolutely shove tonight against ECU. 8.2 innings, 7 strikeouts, 2 ER, 129 pitches. Queens ended up losing 5-2 in extra innings. They play UNCG this weekend. First year in Division 1. I think it's a pretty cool story.

Wake is the darling, but yes, their week was better. Winning a series always trumps losing one, especially doing it on the road. Now, did they deserve to move up? I dunno, I didn't really pay attention to what happened with teams above them. I'm actually surprised we didn't drop out, as volatile as these polls are.

To me, this proves what my eyes are seeing.

1) Our schedule has been and will continue to be one of the best in the country. So maybe we can finally put that to rest.

2) We are out playing our record. I'm sure there's a way to find a stat for expected outcomes based on performance, but I imagine ours is better than 17-7, 3-6

3) Next few weeks are huge. UNCG top 100, Louisville top 30, ECU x2 top 20, WFU top 10, FSU top 30. No rest for the weary.

Let's get Soles and Candelaria back fully healthy and then evaluate. Both those guys can get on base and drive in runs. We've really missed those bats.
