I have no data to back this up but ECU friends think they struggle against LH pitching, particularly junk ball kinda stuff.

Silver only threw like 20 pitches this weekend. I think you start Harrison and go to Silver after 2-3 and see if he can take you to Payne/Chris to finish?

Godwin will change pitchers like 10x a game so I look for this to be a 4-hour affair. Hope PackTheBases is there for play by play since I am traveling for work and dont have ESPN+ anyway.

No. 22 NC State baseball (15-8) will make the trip to Greenville, N.C., Tuesday for its midweek contest with East Carolina (14-11) in the first of two meetings between the teams this season. Due to expected cold temperatures Tuesday night, first pitch has been moved up to 4:30 p.m. at Clark-LeClair Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and there will additionally be an audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the Varsity Network App. STARTING PITCHERS TBA (NCSU) vs. LHP CJ Mayhue (ECU)

SERIES HISTORY Tuesday will be the 113th meeting between the Wolfpack and Pirates, as NC State leads the all-time series, 68-48. The teams last met on June 2, 2019, in the NCAA Greenville Regional, and East Carolina earned a 9-2 win to advance to the regional final. In the last 10 meetings between the squads, NC State has won six of them.

This lefty is pretty tough. Wouldn't mind chasing him out of this game and seeing a different arm.

Defense will be the death of this team. Super lucky to get out of that one.

We need to switch Marcy and Green in the lineup.

I'm a fan of having some guys in the bottom of the lineup that can hit. No reason to bunch all the best hitters at the top. I think it's fine havung Green where he is.

I appreciate being aggressive when you get your pitch, but man, Hood could really stand to take a pitch or two.

He came in the 9th and threw 10 pitches I believe. Had at least 2 strikeouts.
Being an N. C. State fan builds great character!

Defense has looked much better the last few games with hood and Greene flipping positions (they both made nice plays today) and Groover at first. Bullpen's been good as well. We left lots of runners on base but the pitchers shut ecu down to only 3 hits.

Like Groover at 1st and Hood at SS. I'd prefer White at the 3 hole in the lineup though.

Nice win over the Pie-Rats. That will save me some heartburn! Baseball's a funny sport. Never would have guessed a bullpen game would result in a 2-0 score. Glad the good guys got it done!

Will a series win @ Clemson this week get us back in the T25? Who cares! Just keep winning baby!!

We were back in the top 25 in at least one of the dozen polls this week according to the broadcast crew. Just keep winning series and it will all take care of itself.

No. 22 NC State baseball (16-8) extended its win streak to five thanks to a 2-0 victory, its second shutout win of the year, over East Carolina (14-12) on Tuesday evening at Clark-LeClair Stadium.

J.T. Jarrett was responsible for bringing in both of NC State's runs, a sacrifice squeeze play in the second with a runner at third and an RBI single in the fourth with runners at first and second after Tommy White and Dominic Pilolli started the inning with back-to-back singles.

Jarrett (2-for-2), Pilolli (2-for-3) and White (2-for-3) led the Pack's offense, combining for six of the team's eight hits in the contest.

ECU managed to put the game-winning run at the plate in the third and sixth innings and had the game-tying run at the plate in the seventh, but the Pack's pitching staff was stellar in keeping the Pirates off the board as it held them to just three hits and two walks.

Starting pitcher Garrett Payne tossed 2.2 innings in his second start of the season to improve to 3-0. Additionally, Chris Villaman collected his third save in as many appearances and fourth of the year.

In the last four games the bullpen has been stellar, as it has allowed just one run to score in 19.1 innings and has tallied 23 strikeouts.

NC State will remain on the road this weekend when it travels to Clemson for a three-game set at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson, S.C. The teams will play Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Friday and Sunday's games will be broadcast on ACCNX and Saturday's contest will air on the ACC Network. All three games will additionally have an audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the Varsity Network App.
