NC State will be back in action this weekend for a three-game series against No. 12 Georgia Tech at Doak Field at Dail Park. The teams will play at 6:30 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.

Friday and Sunday's games will be broadcast on ACCNX, while Saturday's contest will air on the ACC Network. All three games will have an audio stream on WKNC 88.1 and the Varsity Network App.

Nothing has been said. He has been in the dugout, not wearing any weird braces or anything as far as I can tel. I'm guess he had some soreness and they just rested him out of caution, but nothing has been said.

SERIES HISTORY
NC State and Georgia Tech have met 137 times in program history, as the Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series, 78-59. The last time the teams met was on May 29, 2021, in the ACC Tournament semifinals at Truist Field in Charlotte, N.C., and NC State cruised to an 8-1 win to advance to the title game.

The last time the teams met in Raleigh was on Feb. 26-28, 2021, and the Jackets swept the series with 9-2, 8-3 and 8-4 wins.

NC State has won five of the last six series meetings, dating back to 2012.

Hoping that Hood making the move to SS and the at bats he's been putting together the last week will lead to a bit of a run. Seems like the lineups are being figured out and getting closer to having our best lineup figured out.

We are one bad coaching decision and a 16 inning game or whatever (where we had TONS of chances) from being 3-2 in the league with all games against top 8 teams. Close

Adams looked good against FSU, had 3 1/3 scoreless and retired eight straight with four strikeouts before giving up a few runs. I don't think he's weekend starter material, but he did look better. Harrison has always been mercurial. At times he's unhittable for long stretches, but then sometimes his mechanics seem to get loose and it goes off the rails. I wonder if at some point you look at Villamam starting. I love him as a closer, but you don't need a closer if your starting pitching isn't winning the game, so if the idea is to start your three best guys, maybe he gets a look. You could platoon Payne and Silver, but they've been two of the more effective middle relief guys, so who takes that role? I dunno the answers unfortunately. If we can start winning the first two games, the third doesn't matter as much, so I would prefer we do that.

I get it for sure. IMO we have 4-5 guys that can go multiple innings on Sunday or mid relief. Those guys are Harrison, adams, silver, Payne and Carson Kelly. Obviously Harrison and adams can be hot and cold. Villaman too but he's not a middle innings guy (not opposed to starting him either). Justin Lawson and baker Nelson are good for maybe 6 outs. Miriala is a matchup guy.

We need highfill and willadsen to be more efficient and get into the 7th inning so we can piece together other parts of the game whether it's backend or starting.
