we just are not as good at the little things this season-there are 5-6 games this year where flat out made mistakes and gave games away. We constantly lose series vs quality teams.

Outside of GT, we can't string together a strong weekend vs good teams

And yet, we're basically in the same position we were going into the post season last year. They just have to put it all together at the right time to go on a run.

We miss Highfill....I think things would be a little different if he were healthy. We are not strong defensively either, and collectively slower than usual. Couple all those thing together, we rely on the big, power bats. Power bats aren't always consistent, especially against good pitching. Thus, we struggle to put together consecutive wins.

UNC losses irked me. We are tons better than them. But I agree, we should have won at least 5-6 more games and we would be in much better position going into the post season.

All that negative being said, we have the makeup of a team that often plays well in post season. Lots of arms we can use, more than most. We are never out of a game with our big bats. And as you go deeper into pitching staffs later in tournaments, it's the team with the big bats that often wins.

Don't count us out. If a glove or two and an arm or two step up, we could make noise again. Talk about America's darling. What would a run to Omaha do for TV ratings this year? You think we might catch a break for once?

I would just like to win the acc championship. Still not over scoring 0 runs against Duke in the title game last year.

VT 2, Texas state 11, ecu 23. What's going on

It's funny how good those two wins over ECU look now. Might be what gets us in.

We really annihilated them, I'm shocked at how they have dominated the AAC. Conference must be awful in baseball.
