Posted this in the other thread, but thought I'd add it here.
If you want more than this it's very simple, give more $. We have to start somewhere…. Believe it or not your fan experience matters very little compared to player amenities. No need to complain about what's not in the mock up, it is a mock up and end result will likely be very different.

I really like the upgrades to the student section. A bit disappointed that there's no outfield party deck, but the terraced grass hill and bar right next to it is really nice.

That area is really nice. The terraced hill will be a big addition for that area. I wonder if we lose seating there though because of the temp bleachers being removed?
There are plans to add seating behind the outfield bleachers. The bull pens are also moving out there behind left field (visitors) and right field (home). This rendering is not a finished project. It's very much fluid depending on donations from fans and former playersDJncsu13 said:gopack1979 said:

Player enhancements are absolutely most important. The upgrades in player amenities will pay massive dividends for State baseball.
*** THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT JUST AN OBSERVATION***
That said, I'm surprised very little was done to current Doak seating, concessions etc. This area is still underwhelming compared to other programs. I also realize more $$ given and more tickets purchased equals better seating/fan set up. Look forward to seeing what the future holds for NC State baseball and Doak.

Absolutely love what this gives us for recruiting moving forward. As Avent said, combine this facility with our history of development and I think we have some more CWS in our future.
Love the car area in left field. My tickets are on that side so my wife and I will probably frequent that area.
Only disappointment for me is the lack of an outfield party deck for the students. I'm concerned about room for students in general with these changes.
So where would be an option for outfield seating as you mentioned above?Glasswolf said:They moved the bull pens to the outfieldmetcalfmafia said:

That's what I am telling you...they already have.Francis said:
Ok BPCox, you've mentioned when DY was AD that some big donors would not donate due to her being the AD. Now that she's been gone several years are they going to step up or were they just blowing smoke?
Believe the biggest part is going to be for required work on the field and structures itself to build on top of them in the next phases. Plus the work on the indoor batting area looks to be pretty nice.Pakbackr said:
$15M gets you no covered seating over the main stands and tailgate tents. The player enhancements must be off the chart because the fans sure are not getting much out of this IMHO
Sounds like it's time to put your name on something!Pakbackr said:

To the contrary - I am very familiar with many of the construction projects on campus and have been involved in the actual fundraising. I know $15M doesn't go far. I'm just disappointed we've waited this long for just this.Gravis said:Pakbackr said:

You obviously havent priced any construction lately.
Roughly half is for Player Development, roughly 25% for Facility work, and roughly the last 25% for the Terrace area.
Remember, this is 1 of 3 planned phases.
Gravis, can you please explain something to me (or anybody in the know)? Is what we are looking at here just phase 1 or is this all 3 phases? Is phase 1 the field renovations, phase 2 the player enhancements and phase 3 the fan enhancements? Or is all that in the first phase and the plans for the next 2 phases have yet to be announced? This may be mentioned somewhere but I haven't read thru everything yet.Gravis said:Pakbackr said:

Player enhancement makes players better and helps bring in better recruits. In turn helps us win and put a better product on the field. At least while you sit there you can watch good baseball. You rather have an overhang and nicer seats but a bad product on the field? Winning will bring more money from future enhancements.
"This". With all due respect, sir, the quote that follows is from Gravis' post that you quoted.Pakbackr said:To the contrary - I am very familiar with many of the construction projects on campus and have been involved in the actual fundraising.
