2022 baseball schedule released 12/22

Home and home with ECU. I presume Avent buried the hatchet with Godwin?
Not a single OOC P5 game.
Nice schedule. Northeastern was the CAA champs and has an all American on the mound. Uncw/coastal/ECU/etc are good regional games. Who did we avoid in the ACC? UVA/Miami? Who else

I'm that guy that wants the football team to schedule the best OOC P5 games possible.
BUT I'm in favor of this strategy in baseball. Less travel for the players... budget friendly... and not sacrificing quality competition.

Avoiding 2 tourney teams and the biggest snub, imo, in Pitt is a nice break

Avent goes to the James Henderson university of non conference scheduling. Wrong sport unfortunately. Northeastern is a nice opponent though. Hopefully they weren't gutted after last year
Losing what we lost I'm 100% ok with having the easiest schedule possible to get the new/young kid's feet wet. The ACC is brutal enough as it is. Let'em build up some confidence.EthanBarry said:

James would have us move from the ACC to the Cap 8 league if he could.
Kidding. But ECU is ranked 8th, and a number of the ACC teams on our schedule are ranked. We will play some tough teams.

Yep. Fans always want a blockbuster schedule until the team gets its' ass kicked a few times. Then, it's "fire the coach".JCooke93 said:

I get it they are young, but is beating up on Quinnipiac really better than seeing what a P5 staff looks like? It certainly helps your RPI out. No P5 non conference games is odd.
