NC State baseball (4-9) will make its first road trip of the season Tuesday when it travels to UNCW (12-5) for a midweek contest. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Brooks Field in Wilmington, N.C., and the game will be broadcast on FloSports.TV ($).

The Seahawks managed to avoid a series sweep at William and Mary on Sunday thanks to a 4-1 win in its last time out. Before dropping its doubleheader to the Tribe on Saturday, the squad was on a five-game win streak which was highlighted by a midweek win over No. 7 East Carolina on March 17.
UNCW was tabbed the preseason favorite for the South division of the Colonial Athletic Association, while Landen Roupp, Cole Weiss, Noah Bridges, Adam Smith and Luke Gesell all received preseason recognition from the conference.
Heading into Tuesday, starting pitcher Jacob Shafer owns a 5.23 ERA and has made two starts in his three appearances. In his 10.1 innings pitched on the year, he has tallied six strikeouts and has only yielded one walk.
Offensively, UNCW leads the CAA in eight different categories and is averaging 9.52 hits per game. Kip Brandenburg paces the team with a .391 clip while Brooks Baldwin owns a team-best 25 hits, eight doubles and five homers.
