That doesn't mean they should be. If we want to win an ACC Championship and contend for another CWS there needs to be an upgrade in some of those spots.

Thanks for this! I think in college he could succeed at either, for sure. For 2026, it'll be easier for us to find a good bat in the portal at 3B, so that's really the only reason I'm thinking west will be at SS.
Also, if he does make it to campus, maybe he wants to "prove" to the scouts he can play that SS position. If he goes in the 3rd round then I'm guessing he's gone and is happy playing 3B in the minors

That also doesn't include West if he makes it to campus.
If Novy hits like we think and McHugh can get the ball in the air a little more, this lineup has more upside IMO, guys can and do improve. I do agree on another power bat but every other team in the nation is probably saying the same.

My hope is that he's insurance for Aidan West signing, and they can battle it out for who is staying at SS and who competes for ABs elsewhere if West gets to campus.

Coach Robinson just followed Ohio State player Matthew Graveline
Starting catcher who led the team in RBIs (53) and HR (10). Would be a solid pickup as a bigger bat at catcher. Has also played 1B and corner OF for Ohio State.

If you expect us to be LSU, UGA, Arkansas, etc. we aren't. Never have been, and likely never will be on that level NIL wise. But the coaches know what we have and what we have coming back. We will add a couple more bats. We will also likely need to take "risks" on dudes and hope we unlock things with them. You are stressing over things we can't control (unless you write the check). The coaches are working. Trust.
