On paper, would be a dynamic addition.

This summer he is hitting .292 in 16 games, but has walked 24 times (to 15Ks) and has 24 stolen bases. .551 OBP and 1.030 OPS.

Seems like a speedster to get 24 sb in summer ball.

How does the Northwoods league compare to the CPL, for example? I know neither are the Cape, but firmly in the 2nd tier?

The NWL is just under the Cape, IMO. Lots of talent plays up in the NWL each summer, Derrick Smith played there the summer before last. Charlie Condon played up there as well as Jacob Wilson and Brooks Lee, to name a few current dudes in the MLB.

Lucas Moore and a couple other guys from Louisville played up in the Northwoods league last summer. Garrett Pennington played there. Just about all the recent UVA studs played in the NWL.

he has 3 steals in 8 games on the cape (caught 1x), and he isn't getting on at a great clip up there either. That would be equivalent to 21 SBs if he played 56 games like he did this year.

Head, Nixon, and Ryan (assuming he starts) need 25-30 stolen base attempts next year.

I have been off the grid a lot recently because I am in summer school and have finals next week.

I did click the Sosa tweet where he announced he was leaving and a lot of folks responded with tweets saying (paraphrasing) they blame it on a fella named Benjamin Ormond. I must have lost track because I do not know anything about what happened there.

That Benjamin Ormond guy has some developmental challenges in life. Other than being outspoken on social media I'm not sure he's really done anything other than be "different"by no fault of his own.

It's remarkable to me how similar the timelines are amongst the NC State Twitter weirdos. Normally uneducated sounding, typically politically outspoken in one direction or another, prone to unhinged outbursts. Maybe I've just described all of Twitter. Whenever I wade into those weeds, I always regret it.
