Appears he is close to doubling his salary by going to Texas ($1.35M at A&M). I do think A&M will go hire a top level, elite coach with the salary they will be able to offer.

I also saw a report this morning that A&M assistants have been recruiting players to Texas since April. If so, they were being paid a salary by A&M while recruiting for their future employer. Will be interesting to see if these reports go further.

I always liked Schloss - but that's just dirty.

At the very least the guy could have taken a few classes in PR. Would have been very easy to say "I'm the head coach at Texas A&M and we just lost a heart breaker in the CWS, I'm not talking about anything but Texas A&M right now"

Are we feeling good about retaining our younger guys who had roles this season? Seems each of the past few seasons we've had a big loss (Peebles, White).

Obviously we have a lot of holes to fill but would love to hang on to as many home grown kids as possible.

I saw it posted today that the portal for baseball closes on July 2. Is this accurate and if so, I suspect a lot of A&M players have to make a quick decision. Also, Jacob Cozart's brother (Sam) is committed to A&M. Any thoughts on him possibly opening up his recruitment, since the head coach and assistants are now leaving for Texas?
