If we are targeting anything for next year it needs to be multiple SPs. Seem pretty set in the middle with Butterworth and Nixon. Need CIFs and OFs. Not sure what we have in terms of HS recruiting coming in next year.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I do think we will see Marohn, Consiglio, and Dudan in the starting rotation with the potential of getting Willadsen back also. That's a pretty good place to start

Yep agree we have Consiglio set and maybe Fritton?? I think Marohn is a wait and see as to whether SP or long relief. We need some dudes. I personally would need to see Dudan develop a 3rd pitch he can trust to see him as a starter.
I want to see us get away from these 4 inning starters and get a couple guys who can give some length. The SPs are the one thing that scare me starting next weekend with this roster.

I know Eli is draft eligible but I'm not 100% sold on his draft placement. Fielding is fantastic but he needs better numbers at the plate
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Ty Head is a dude. Could move right into CF if Serrano moves on. Could play a corner spot if Eli sticks around for another year and then move into CF the next season. Could be a draft concern, he's ranked in the top 50 (45th) in PGs top 100. Parents are HS coaches, brother and sister were D1 athletes. Brother played baseball.

Devin Fitz-Gerald is another guy that could play right away. His brother played at Old Dominion and his dad was his HS coach, IIRC. Could be another draft concern, ranked 48th overall in PGs top 100.

RHP Anderson Nance - brother Will started at NC State, ended up at Elon. brother Bennett went to unc, ended up at Lander (also Louisburg College in between)
RHP Kaden Morris - 6'8, big dude.
LHP Drake Purvis
RHP Truitt Manuel - damn good athlete. 1000yd WR in HS football.
RHP Aden Knowles - comes from a powerhouse HS program in Tampa Jesuit.
LHP Tristan Potts - Cuthbertson HS.

once the portal opens more and more names will start to fly around.

He could get drafted, just like Kalae Harrison was drafted last year. Butters is having a VERY good last month or two on the diamond.

All 3 of them could go but all 3 of them have a lot to prove at the same time. Not sure Butterwdth is even a draft guy and the other 2 had incomplete seasons I would call it.

Butterworth was listed at #117 on D1Baseball's top 200 draft prospects list before the season. I would say he has improved that position with his play, but I'm not a baseball draft expert by any means. Since much of your draftability in the later rounds comes down to your willingness to sign, I wouldn't say it isn't going to happen.

Good to know. When did this happen, I haven't seen anything anywhere (definitely NOT doubting you at all).

That's his second "decommitment" as he was originally committed to Miami earlier in his HS career.

Trying to follow the baseball transfer portal is really tough, even for coaches

There will be well over 2000 transfers out there from D1, D2, D3, JUCO

you really have to trust your sources and then scout very well

Probably depends on if teams think he can stay at short or not. If they do, he is toolsy enough for someone to like him.

I don't see him hitting enough or hitting for much power in pro ball but that's fine if you can stay at short.
