“I’m excited. I know this is a big in-state game for both teams. They are going to bring a lot of people out to the game and it’s going to be rowdy, but we expect it. We expect it to be a good time out there.”
“A lot of guys on our team have taken a lot of snaps, home and away, so I think the biggest thing is to lean on those guys.”
“You can’t take any team lightly... we have to go 1-0 and win the week. It starts with ECU.”
“I can’t wait to get in that game atmosphere, let guys loose, let them fly around... let everything go.”
“I think it prepared our whole team. Anytime you go into a hostile environment you have to prepare even better... that’s the biggest thing, knowing our first opponent is at ECU, it gives us much more time to prepare.”
“I need to take that next step of getting us out of bad plays and really just doing my job, what I’m coached to do... being that leader on the field. That was the biggest step I took this offseason.”
“Thayer has been balling out. That’s what we expect out of Thayer. He’s one of the first guys in the building and last one to leave. It’s really no surprise what he’s been doing... he’s going to keep striving and keeping that positive trend.”
“My full focus is on the team and on ECU. How can I be my best as a teammate, as a player... how can I be coachable.”
“My little brother plays at Illinois so I tuned into the game at Wyoming... it was cool. I watched a little college football. It feels like everything is coming back to normal.”
