“One of our big goals right now is being first in third-down pass defense. Last year we were probably third in the country, and this year we want to be first. That could be the difference in us having nine or ten wins and maybe being undefeated.”
“I worked on my football IQ, understanding the down and distance... understanding plays we might get on first down, plays we might get on second down.”
“We are definitely happy with where we are. It’s a start. We fell out of the rankings at one point... we’re not going to let that sink in or seem like we’ve arrived. It is a preseason ranking.”
“It’s great. He saw us communicating on defense, I knew the route they were going to run, and he checked to a different route.”
“It’s challenging me to, understanding I... have to stay on my toes and be ready to play.”
“The communication this year is ten times better.”
“A lot of guys played a lot of ball last year.”
“Honestly I don’t feel like a sophomore at all, I’m a vet out here.”
