COMMIT ALERT: In-State Standout Tamarcus Cooley Picks NC State
NC State just landed a commitment from Rolesville (NC) 2023 athlete Tamarcus Cooley.

Cooley tallied over 20 offers during his recruitment from programs such as North Carolina, Florida, Ole Miss, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Miss. State, Tennessee, and Penn State, among others.
He took official visits to NC State, Ole Miss, Minnesota, and North Carolina before making his decision.
The official visit to NC State was a game-changer for Cooley.
“Being around the coaches again, that was really good,” he said. “Every time I come over to NC State it gets better and better. I’m comfortable here. It feels like home.
“I feel like I can talk to everyone here, so I would say, this might be home. I kind of knew all the guys that came this weekend so we all got along really well, just chilled together. It was laid back, so we just spent a lot of time laughing, having a good time.”
Cooley played both ways last season for Knightdale (NC) High School and is the younger brother of talented Louisville running back Trevion Cooley. This season he is playing for Rolesville (NC) High School where he’s expected to line up at wide receiver and safety.
