Locker Room Report: Hunt, Yurtseven Discuss The Win

Sam Hunt and Omer Yurtseven met with the media to discuss the win over Penn State.

“We knew our pressure was going to tire them down so we knew we had to stay with that. We came out sluggish, that is true, but we knew if we kept pressuring up they’d get tired and we’d survive.”

“My teammates found me. Lavar found me a couple of times. Braxton...I just ran the floor and they was able to find me so I give all of the credit to them.”

Sophomore Center Omer Yurtseven

“To be honest, Coach Keatts always says the basketball gods won’t let you play good unless you practice for it. I’ve been practicing hard everyday. He pushes us everyday. I guess today it just started paying off.”

“I would just say I’ve worked on it everyday. The coach gave me all the green light that I needed.”

“On our home court, with the fans behind us, when we start a run the thing just keeps on clicking.”

“I feel it is all about confidence and the coach just gives that confidence.”

“It feel great. I feel like there is more to come. Hopefully we will just keep building off of it.”
