Wolfpack hires top Arizona State assistant Joel Justus
The NC State men's basketball team has hired former Arizona State and Kentucky assistant coach Joel Justus, as first reported by 247 Sports’ Travis Branham.
Justus will be replacing former Wolfpack assistant coach James Johnson on the bench. Justus spent seven seasons at Kentucky before his lone season at Arizona State last year.
While at Kentucky, Justus served as the lead recruiter for a number of five-star prospects and won multiple SEC titles. In 2020, he was listed by The Athletic as one of the top 40 people in college basketball under 40 years old.
Justus graduated from UNC-Wilmington in 2004 and brings a basketball analytics background to NC State.
