NC State sophomore center Omer Yurtseven met with the media to discuss today's game against Penn State and recap the Battle 4 Atlantis.

"We saw what we are capable of. We saw flashes of everybody doing 100 percent."

"We ended with two losses so it was definitely not a happy feeling, but I would say we knew what we had to work on, like the Tennessee game they pressured us. They were defensively, really tough I would say. Now we know what we have to work on and now we know what we are capable of so we have all of the tools to be good."

"After that win we thought we are picking it up, like we are going to win everything from now on, but I guess that win really wore us out too, so we couldn’t really [play] 100 percent the next two games."

"These games, these non-conference games, really help you get your rhythm and get going, get used to your teammates, the coach, the offense, the system, everything. To miss this portion was really bad last year but now that I am getting my rhythm, it feels good. I feel like it has a huge effect."

"Non-conference games are not as tough as ACC and that tournament was against some good, tough opponents. It is going to carry us a long way during the season."

"They challenge you more. They compete better. The quality of the game is just way better so I feel like yeah, definitely."

"Of course we take pride in representing our school first of all, and then the ACC."
