Charleston Southern QB Transfer Jack Chambers Picks NC State

NC State has landed a commitment from Charleston Southern quarterback transfer Jack Chambers‍  who is admitted to the school and expected to enroll for summer courses.

Chambers has enrolled as a walk-on.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder was a multi-year starter for CSU.  In 2021 he completed 55% of his passes while throwing for 2,510 yards and 17 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. For his career, Chambers has thrown for 5,781 yards with 40 touchdowns and 29 interceptions.

A dual-threat quarterback, Chambers led Charleston Southern in rushing in 2021 as well, rushing for 464 yards and seven more scores. For his career, Chambers has rushed for 1,305 yards with 15 rushing touchdowns.

He had a breakout performance in 2021 against East Carolina where Chambers completed 38-of-61 yards for 405 yards and two passing touchdowns with an interception.  He also rushed for 54 yards and another score in the 31-28 loss.

Chambers is eligible right away and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
