COMMIT ALERT: Maryland Transfer Mimi Collins Commits to NC State
NC State has landed a commitment from Maryland forward/center Mimi Collins who was on campus this weekend for an official visit.
Collins announced the decision on her Instagram.
A former McDonald’s All-American, Collins arrived at Maryland ffor the 2019-20 season after transferring from Tennessee. She had to sit out the season, but shined in 2020-21, earning All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors while averaging 10.6 points and 6.2 rebounds in 24.6 minutes a night.
This past season she took on a reserve role due to the emergence of Angel Reece and averaged 5.5 points and 3.4 boards.
Collins is expect to compete and provide depth at the four and five positions for NC State. The 6-foot-3 standout will have two years of eligibility remaining.
