Former NC State offensive lineman Joe Sculthorpe has been named as one of World Wrestling Entertainment's newest recruits.

According to the WWE, Sculthorpe, along with 13 other trainees, officially began their journey into sports entertainment on Monday, March 14 inside the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla. The class consists of fellow NCAA standouts, second-generation wrestlers, and athletes from other sports aside from football and wrestling.

After earning Third Team All-ACC honors in his final year with the Wolfpack, Sculthorpe signed as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons in 2021. However, he did not make the official 53-man roster as he was waived prior to the start of the season.

The official press release from WWE, including bios on all 14 recruits, can be found here.
