PLAYERS TO WATCH
Forward PJ Hall: The 6-foot-10 forward is one of the most improved players in the ACC this season.
PJ Hall’s numbers have improved across the board. Hall is +11.9 in PPG, +3.7 in RPG, +1.4 in APG, and nearly +1.0 block per game. Hall has increased his 3-point shooting by nearly 20.0 percent and despite the increased workload is shooting 49.1 percent this season -- including a 52.4 effective field goal percentage.
A stretch five, NC State’s bigs will need to keep him under control, which they didn’t do in the first matchup as Hall dominated, scoring 20 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field.
Guard Chase Hunter: A good perimeter shooter and scorer, Hunter has picked it up down the stretch of league play.
He scored a career-high 23 points in a win at Boston College, which was following a 21-point outing in a upset win over Wake Forest.
X-FACTOR
Forward Hunter Tyson: Another matchup to watch will be Jericole Hellems vs. Hunter Tyson.
The 6-foot-8 Tyson has been one of Clemson’s best players while missing a month of conference play due to a broken clavicle.
He is another weapon on the perimeter for the Tigers, shooting 37% from three-point range.
