COMMIT ALERT: Darion Rivers Picks NC State

NC State has landed a commitment from 2023 West Charlotte (NC) offensive lineman Darion Rivers‍.

With Rivers it’s all about potential and development. At 6-7, 255 pounds he has a big time frame plus an impressive combination of quickness and agility given that size. He doubles at defensive end and right tackle for West Charlotte but will likely end up on offense once he gets to college.

It’s interesting, because on the high school level he is probably better right now at defensive end, but given his length he has the potential to grow into a monster offensive tackle down the road.

Rivers is NC State’s second 2023 commitment, joining quarterback Lex Thomas‍.
