Fitz-Gerald: "The Main Part Was The Coaching Staff"

Devin Fitz-Gerald, a class of 2024 infielder from Margate, Florida, committed to attend NC State on January 3, 2022. As a sophomore he was the starting shortstop for the 2021 Florida state champion Marjory Stoneman Douglas High baseball team, where his father, three-time national coach of the year Todd Fitz-Gerald, is the head coach.

Rob McLamb of Inside Pack Sports recently caught up with the younger Fitz-Gerald to talk about his commitment to the Wolfpack.

Fitz-Gerald should be a great pickup for NC State, but I would not sleep on the Wolfpack in 2022. It won't be easy for NCSU, as the ACC is a meatgrinder this coming season and several teams in the conference have recruiting classes that are nationally ranked.

I still think that NC State will be there in the mix for titles towards the end of the season.
