Boo Corrigan Named Chair of the CFP Selection Committee
RALEIGH, N.C. - The College Football Playoff (CFP) Management Committee has appointed NC State Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan as selection committee chair for the 2022 football season. Corrigan replaces Iowa Director of Athletics Gary Barta, who served as chair for the past two seasons.
Corrigan is in the second year of a three-year term at a member of the CFP selection committee.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my first year on the committee," Corrigan said. "It was a privilege to serve alongside the other members. I'm honored to be asked to serve as committee chair and look forward to working with an outstanding group of individuals who are deeply committed to college football."
Corrigan is in his third year as Director of Athletics at NC State, where the Wolfpack has experienced a period of enormous success. NC State is coming off a 23rd-place finish in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, the second highest finish in program history.
This past Fall NC State women's cross country won the school's first national title in 38 years and first women's NCAA title ever. Over the past three years, NC State has won a league-high eight ACC titles.
The Wolfpack is in the midst of a remarkable 2021-22 season. In addition to cross country's national title, four programs are currently ranked in the Top 5 in the nation and seven teams are currently ranked in the Top 10 in the nation in their respective polls.
