NC State forward Greg Gantt has yet to play this year due to injury, and head coach Kevin Keatts stated today that he remains out and unavailable.

“Greg is probably, wer’re looking at, if, maybe he’s going to return, it’s probably going to be somewhere in probably mid-to-late January,” Keatts said.  “If he is returning. I’m not saying that’s going to happen. We’ll look at him and evaluate him at that time.

“That being said, he’s getting into practice a little more, he’s getting some reps.  We haven’t put him into contact, but he is getting in and doing some stuff with our team.

Guard Casey Morsell has missed the last two games with a sprained ankle he sustained against Nebraska.

“Casey will be another game-time decision,” Keatts added.  “I hope he is available.  We did put him through some warmups, and I thought he looked decent at times during warmups.  I think he came down a little bit funny on it which meant he wasn’t actually ready to play.  We held him out of the game, and hopefully with a couple of days of rest, not playing last night... hopefully he’s available for Sunday.”

The 6-foot-3 guard is averaging 12.3 points and 4.4 rebounds this season. He’s shooting 42.2% from the field and 39.3% from three-point range.
