“We’re excited as a program to be headed out to San Diego, a beautiful, beautiful city.”

“A lot of my guys have never been that far west and a chance to go play against a team obviously that we haven’t played in my tie here.”

“I know they’ve done a great job this year and just put up 60 points against their rival.”

“I was actually born in San Diego... pretty neat for me to get a chance to come back.”

“I look forward to it, and I know our guys are excited to get ready to play.”

“We’re on FOX, it’s a nationally televised game in the evening against a team with incredible tradition in UCLA. Their home base is about 2.5 hours north of San Diego so I expect them to have a crowd."

“It creates exposure for the ACC out in California.”

“The 10th win is very meaningful to this staff, team, and football family. It’s a legacy thing. These seniors want to be able to say they were one of just two teams in 130-plus years of football to accomplish that.  It's very meaningful."

“Where would that put us in the rankings? I’m sure that would move us into the top 15 which is meaningful for these guys as well."

“I think all three of the bowls we were between were great bowls."

"It’s a great reward to be going to Florida or California for a bowl game. We're very excited about the opportunity."

“It says a lot. It answers your question with action moreso than my words. These young men have a lot of people in their ears telling them what to do, and they trust us.  They know they are going to have an opportunity to be developed by great people. They love being around these guys and coaches, it says a lot about the culture here.”

“It's very meaningful and they see teammates like Emeka come back and see what he accomplished.... Bradley Chubb came back and had a great year, Ryan Finley came back and had a great year. These guys who have done that have benefited."

“We needed some time to heal up. That UNC week our whole team had the flu and our staff had it the next week.”

“There's probably 50... all of the guys that took the lion share of the reps for the season, we'll give them a chance to get in the weight room. I Want to see what the twos and threes can do... the Caden Fordham's, Jordan Poole's, Demie Sumo's...  Thornton Gentry, Sean Hill, Lyndon Cooper, Julian Gray, Travali... Aaron McLaughlin, Ben Finley, the list goes on. You know who they are."

"There are a lot of guys, to not just get reps, but for us to be able to tell them what we saw and they have to work on between now and spring football."

“It's funny, everything has sped up.  I'm not surprised by it... it does build excitement for next year, not only with the public but with our roster.  Guys are excited about who all is coming back. There are more of them. They will eventually make decisions one way or another that will come out.  Once we know everybody you guys will find out. I'm not going to be the spokesman for who all is coming back. I'm going to allow these guys to have their time in the sun.”

“Devan Boykin we should get back. We feel really good about him. Chris Toudle is a possible.  None of the other players will be back.”
