Kevin Keatts: "It's Been A Rough Week For Us"

NC State head coach Kevin Keatts met with the media after the Wolfpack's 77-74 home win over Colgate.

“It’s been a rough week for us.”

“I’m heartbroken.”

“Manny is a self-made guy... my heart still hurts for him.”

“Colgate is a really good basketball team... they are well-coached and we’re happy our guys stepped up to the challenge.”

“I’m proud of some guy’s play.”

“Dereon had another really good game.”

“We’ll get better and continue to work on stuff.”

“I like our team.”

“It helps you when you get in the ACC, but every possession mattered... you have to lock in, get stops, execute. That was a ballgame that came down to the last four minutes.”

“Our guys found a way to win the four-minute stretch.”

“He was playing well and he was the only guy getting to the rim, Terquavion at times, and I didn’t want a jumpshot, I wanted something hard to the basket.”

“I thought DB did a great job. He drove it hard, drew the foul, and stepped up to the free throw line and made his shots.”

“I think it’s confidence. Even though Casey Morsell has played a lot of basketball, he’s still in a new system. He had a good second half against Bucknell... he hit some big shots for us down the stretch.”
