IPS KICKOFF GIVEAWAY: David Amerson Mini Helmet

Inside Pack Sports officially launched on Monday and it was a huge success, but we're just getting started!  Today we begin our Inside Pack Sports Kickoff Giveaway!

Each morning this week we will have a story posted that features memorabilia signed by a NC State great.  To be eligible to win the item, all you have to do is be a registered member, free or premium.  You can register here.

We begin this special event with a NC State mini helmet signed by former Wolfpack cornerback David Amerson.  Amerson, who plays for the Oakland Raiders and is currently one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL, had an outstanding career at NC State.

Arguably the best cornerback to ever play for the Wolfpack, he started nine games as true freshman in 2010 before having his memorable 2011 campaign.  Amerson totaled an ACC record 13 interceptions as a sophomore, shattering the school mark of eight.  For his efforts, he was named first-team All-ACC, and he was tabbed a consensus All-American.  Amerson won the Jack Tatum Award, given to the nation's top defensive back, and was one of three finalists for the Jim Thorpe Award.

After earning All-ACC honors again as a junior, Amerson declared early for the NFL draft and was selected by the Washington Redskins in the second round.
