NC State's sophomore class is expected to play a major role this season.  Here's a look at the second-year scholarship players competing this year for the Wolfpack.

POINT GUARD MARKELL JOHNSON
The less heralded of the freshman point guards last season, Markell Johnson served as the backup to Dennis Smith for the majority of the campaign. Johnson was able to be a contributor as a freshman in the ACC, which is a challenge in itself.
