Reid Johnston Will Sign Pro Contract With Cleveland

NC State pitcher Reid Johnston confirmed today that he intends to sign a pro contract after being selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 2021 MLB Draft.

Johnston confirmed the news to IPS writer Rob McLamb.

Johnston was NC State’s No. 1 starter or the majority of the last four seasons and had a 4.47 ERA in 96.2 innings this year.  He was picked in the 19th round by the Indians.
