One of the best players to ever suit up for NC State, defensive end Mario Williams made history as the ACC's first-ever No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Williams was selected first overall in the 2006 draft by the Houston Texans following a record-setting 2005 season with the Wolfpack. Williams collected a school-record 14.5 sacks in 2005 on his way to 25.5 for his career (2nd all-time at NC State).
The freakish athlete also tallied a school record for tackles for loss in 2005 with 27.5, and his 55.5 career mark for tackles for loss ranks second all-time for NC State.
