Crutchfield, Jones, Perez announce return for final season

NC State announced Tuesday afternoon that seniors Kai Crutchfield, Kayla Jones and Raina Perez will use their final year of eligibility for the Wolfpack.

Jones averaged 11.9 points and 7.1 rebounds before suffering a season-ending injury in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Perez transferred to NC State as a graduate student from Cal State Fullerton and averaged 9.5 points and 4.7 assists as the primary ballhandler for the Pack.

Crutchfield started every game after missing a couple early in ACC play, and shot 47% from three-point range while averaging 8 points per game.

Wes Moore’s team is now expected to return its top nine scorers from last years team that won the second ACC title in a row and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen.

Expect the Wolfpack to remain active in the transfer portal.
