COMMIT ALERT: Marshall DB Transfer Derrek Pitts Picks NC State

NC State has landed a commitment from Marshall defensive back transfer Derrek Pitts‍.

Pitts played in nine games for Marshall, totaling 42 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss, primarily lining up at safety.

Previously he spent two seasons at West Virginia where he played for Tony Gibson.  Pitts played safety and cornerback for the Mountaineers.

A redshirt junior, Pitts will have two years of eligibility remaining and he is being recruited to play corner at NC State.
