COMMIT ALERT: JUCO OL Anthony Belton Picks NC State
NC State has landed a commitment from Georgia Military (GA) offensive lineman Anthony Belton.
Belton picked NC State over offers from Kentucky, South Carolina, UAB, ECU, Syracuse, West Virginia, TCU, Western Kentucky, North Texas, FAU, and Houston among others.
At 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds, Belton is a mammoth offensive lineman capable of playing guard or tackle. Where does he see himself playing on the next level?
“I’ve had a couple schools say left tackle but most want me to play right tackle,” he said. “That’s what I play for GMC, right tackle.
“I feel like I'm good in the run game. I'm a physical guy, and I like finishing my blocks. I’m at my best climbing to the second level and blocking those faster guys, and I think weakness... I have to be more consistent with my pass protection.”
He added NC State is recruiting him to play right tackle.
A sophomore this season for GMC, Belton will get the year back, so he has four years left to play three seasons. He also intends to be a mid-year enrollee.
Inside Pack Sports will have more shortly from Belton on his decision!
