IPS Take On Love: On tape, Love shows very good ball skills and a willingness to be physical while in coverage and against the run. He’s comfortable playing man or zone, which should bode well given NC State’s multiple defensive schemes.
Another positive is he plays with an unreal amount of confidence. At times maybe a little too much, but you need to play with a chip on your shoulder at corner, especially at his size.
Finally, he is a competitor. The norm now is for players with offers to NOT camp, unless they are already committed, because the thought is you have nothing to really gain. That didn’t matter to Love. He attended NC State's camp with an offer already on the table and didn’t choose to do the “unofficial visit” deal; instead, he wanted to camp.
