COMMIT ALERT: Florida State transfer DL Cory Durden Commits To NC State

NC State landed a key addition for the 2021 season when they landed a commitment from Florida State transfer DL on Monday evening.

Durden (6-5, 315 pounds) played just seven games in 2020 after recovering from shoulder surgery during the off season. He logged seven tackles, .5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble in an abbreviated stint.

This came after a 2019 season in which Durden recorded 39 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and five sacks. Headed into the 2020 season and before his surgery Pro Football Focus had Durden listed as the No. 5 returning interior defensive lineman in the nation.

Durden will be joined by former Noles’ teammate S Cyrus Fagan‍  who also announced on Monday his intentions to transfer to NC State.
