PTWP: NC State's Sam Hunt Says Event Was Competitive

NC State senior guard Sam Hunt briefly met with the media after the Primetime With The Pack event.

No Malik Abu in the slam dunk contest?
I wouldn't call Malik soft. He wanted to rest his knees up. We've been doing a lot of running and conditioning, so I'll take it as him resting his knees for the next practice.

How competitive was the three-point shootout?
Real competitive. We had Braxton Beverly and Al Freeman, they both can shoot. The girls can shoot too.

It was real competitive. It was fun out there competing with the guys.

It looked like a little pressure against the women.
It was a little pressure, but it was more fun for the fans. I think they ended up beating us 13-11. Next time we'll have to get them.

Allerik Freeman is someone you've known for a long time. What's it like being on the same side with him?
I've known Al since I was maybe 13 or 14. We played against each other on the AAU circuit.
He's a great competitor and great teammate. We compete everyday... he'll have my back everytime I'm on the court.
