Run Game Powers NC State In Season-Opening Win

NC State’s season-opening, 45-42 win over Wake Forest was nothing if not eventful. With a score that high, one would probably assume it was a quarterbacks’ duel, with both passing offenses trading haymakers long into the night. 

That was true for one side, with Wake picking up 236 yards through the air. It couldn’t have been farther from the truth for the Wolfpack. Of NC State’s 463 yards of total offense, 270 came on the ground.
