RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State junior running back/return specialist Nyheim Hines has been named for the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for the second consecutive week and the third time this season, following the Wolfpack's 35-17 victory over Pittsburgh at Heinz Field on Saturday.

The Paul Hornung Award is given annually by the Louisville Sports Commission to major college football's most versatile player, and is presented by Texas Roadhouse. The winner will be honored at a banquet presented by KentuckyOne Health at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 7, 2018.

Hines was dominant in NC State's win, finishing with 249 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns. His two touchdowns in the first-quarter helped the Wolfpack gain an early advantage over the Panthers, while he also tallied 16 carries for 135 yards, two receptions for five yards, one kick return for 15 yards along with two punt returns for 94 yards.

He has played an integral role in helping the Wolfpack reach No. 16 in the AP Top 25 and No. 17 in the USA Today Top 25, along with its 6-1 record (4-0 ACC) that sees it sit atop the Atlantic Division. Hines has rushed for 648 yards and six touchdowns, had sixteen kick returns for 375 yards, returned seven punts for 137 yards and one touchdown, while also catching sixteen passes for 89 yards.
