Sumo had a breakout junior season, totaling over 1,200 yards and 25 touchdowns as he led Willingboro High School to a 12-1 record.
The 6-foot, 205-pounder has been a priority for NC State since the Wolfpack offered last December.
“They think I could be a good fit in the offense and we talk a lot about the facilities, too,” Sumo said of NC State. “I went down there my 10th grade year and I liked it a lot.”
He is NC State’s 13th commitment in the 2021 class and the Wolfpack’s first running back addition.
Sumo was being recruited by Wolfpack wide receivers coach George McDonald.
Stay tuned for more shortly from Sumo on his decision!
