“It was great to be back with the guys, to be back in practice. We have a great team. To be on the floor with these guys and get a win like that is something special.”

“With the protocol, I had to pass that before I could get back on the court [for competition]. That’s why, last game, I was going through my warmups and things like that. I still hadn’t passed the protocol, but I was going to do whatever the doctors say is best for me to do though I felt like I was ready to play last game. I finally passed my protocol, and I was able to be on the court today.”

“I’m still working on getting my conditioning back. I’ve got a couple of practices under my belt now. I’m just happy to get back on the floor.”

“I haven’t played in PNC in a while now. It was my first game back, and I loved it. I was happy I was able to get those, especially in the second half. I just want to build off of it and build off this team win.”

“I couldn’t wait to get back on the court. Knowing that the guys are out there without a piece of the team, especially with me being a senior, was kind of discouraging for me sitting out. For me to be back is special for me, and I just want to get back into it with these guys.”

“We just turned the defense up, started playing together, started moving the ball on offense, and started moving at a faster pace. We got rebounds and kicked it out. We just started playing with more energy.”

“Whenever we lose, we call it ‘getting sick.’ It was good to get well tonight. We got a good team win. I think everybody that played played well. It feels good.”

“A lot. He’s like a leader for this team. It’s just his presence; it helped us a lot.”

“That was very key. There’s going to be runs during the game where we’re scoring, but when we’re not scoring, as long as we’re playing defense, playing hard, getting rebounds, and stuff like that, we’re where we need to be.”

“I just try to play hard for the team and just try to play my role. I felt like I was less aggressive in the game before, and my team needs me to be aggressive. We all need to be aggressive if we play our game, so I’m just trying to do that.”

“After the Clemson game, we talked about it a lot. When shots aren’t falling, we’ve got to learn to stay together a little bit more. Before that, we would crash, and we weren’t getting back on defense. Those things lead up run after run. You look up, and they’re down two points. Now we’re wondering, ‘What are we going to do?’ We just tried to stay together. One of our other points was always having fun, but we focused on staying together, making sure we hit the glass, making sure we stayed focus on defense, and locking in on the scouting report.”

“Yeah. It bounced a little weird, so I didn’t think it was going to go in, but when it went in, I was just happy. I’ve got it, but I don’t really use it. I was just moreso happy because J.J. [assistant coach James Johnson] was screaming about it every day in practice. It’s just an inside joke between us.”

“I was just trying to keep up the energy. I figured out the big had three or four fouls, and the other one was kind of moving at the four, and they didn’t really have anybody else to play. When I figured that out, I just jumped up my intensity.”

“Our main points that Keatts talked about was keeping our foot on the gas. As you see in any of our other games, we tend to come out in the second half really sluggish, and we slack off. When we don’t slack off and just come out and feed that morale in the second half, it’s better for us to win the game.”
