NC State has landed a commitment from Northwood Temple (NC) power forward
Ian Steere, who announced his decision this morning at a press conference at his high school.
Steere also held offers from NC State, Creighton, Georgia, Florida State, Clemson, Arkansas, Connecticut, Kansas, Louisville, Maryland, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and Seton Hall among others.

A four-star prospect and a consensus Top 100 recruit, Steere originally committed to Creighton but backed out of his commitment in September. For him, his reason was a simple one.
"I just wanted to stay closer to home," he said. "That was really it for me. It was weighing on me, moving that far away. So, I wanted to open back up."
Steere joins his high school teammate, four-star center Manny Bates, as a member of the Wolfpack's 2018 recruiting class.
Both in-state players are capable of impacting right away for the Wolfpack and will likely be expected to do so with Abdul-Malik Abu and Lennard Freeman graduating after the 2017-2018 season.
Inside Pack Sports will have more from Steere on his decision shortly so stay tuned!
