Why NC State? “I grew up liking State, so it was great. I had an offer from Louisville and it was between State and Louisville, but State was closer to home and that played a big part in it. I just felt a great connection with coach Patrick and I feel like he can teach me so much.”

IPS Take On Davin Vann: Davin Vann wasn’t a big name back in January, but as his film got out he started to pick up more and more offers.
Frankly, what’s not to like about Vann? At 6-foot-2 and 275 pounds he has a projectable frame for the defensive tackle position. He plays with great leverage and has very good balance, a credit to his success in wrestling where he is the reigning heavyweight state champion.
Vann clearly checks a lot of boxes, and we believe he's one of the better prospects in the class.
