IPS Take On Devon Betty: Betty comes from one of the best high school programs in the country in St. Thomas Aquines. He was a big-time recruit early in his career but his options faded after his junior year when he missed some time with injury. The Pack identified him early in the 2019 season and he quickly jumped on board after his official visit in September.
Betty will likely start at the “buck” linebacker spot where Payton Wilson and Brock Miller played this year. He played a lot of defensive end in high school and needs to add weight, so it seems unlikely he plays next year – especially with Levi Jones joining the mix. Betty is a down-the-road guy who has a lot of potential due to his athletic ability.
